Enhancing Play Therapy Outcomes Through Caregiver Involvement

$90.00

Incorporating caregivers into the play therapy process starts at the first contact. Working with caregivers can be challenging for even the most seasoned play therapists. Being able to effectively communicate with caregivers about play therapy and respond therapeutically increases buy-in and engagement. The goal of this workshop will be to reduce barriers to working with caregivers and increase clinician confidence. The workshop will include ways to provide ongoing caregiver consultations, help caregivers tie their goals with what is happening in treatment, including caregivers in conjoint sessions, and build child-caregiver relationships so the benefits of play therapy extend beyond the playroom. Presenters will provide information, lead experiential activities, and engage in group discussions. This workshop is for clinicians of all skill levels.

Presented by:

Ana Guzmán, LPC-S, RPT-S™
Lauren Copenhaver, LPC-S, RPT-S™
Leslie Boutte, LPC-S, RPT-S™
